A few stylish ladies...

The latest antiques show last weekend at Scott's in Atlanta not only brought out dealers with some amazing antiques, but the fashion crowd was in full force, as well. Regrettably, some women were too shy and modest to pose for my camera, but not all, thank goodness. Ladies! Be proud of how great you look!

Kay, wearing a turquoise blue jacket and blouse accented by gold vintage Bakelite bracelets and a vintage Bakelite brooch worn on a chain.  The Louis Vuitton bag is also vintage.

Claudia in a good-looking black wool and plaid cape, black slacks and blouse. The gold jewelry? It's the Real Deal, girls! Sigh...

Unfortunately, I misplaced this beautiful woman's name, but doesn't she look terrific in this bright blue knit top! And the red lipstick enhances her light complexion.

Me, wearing two of my favorite pieces, although together for the first time. I'm not sure about this look. I'm 5' 3" and I think that wearing two pieces with volume makes me look...well, fat! And short! Anyway, for better or worse, I wore it Friday at the show. The top is by Babette, a California designer, the pants are Eileen Fisher, and the bracelets are Macy's...$8/each, discovered in the teen clothing section. Leave no stone unturned....

These photos were taken a few weeks back at the St. Phillips Cathedral Antiques show in Atlanta. I belatedly discovered cameras were verboten so could only take a few photos before I was politely informed to put the camera way. Oopsy. I really need new glasses!

Ann wearing black wool trousers, a black turtleneck and a pinky-beige jacket. It was the wonderful horn necklace, though, that caught my eye. Turns out it came from Huff Harrington Home, one of my favorite boutiques in Buckhead in Atlanta. Check out their website www.huffharrington.com.

Elizabeth wearing one of my favorite mossy greens. Looks great with her red hair. Check out the chunky gold bracelet! And doesn't she look terrific with all that gorgeous majolica behind her!

  1. April, I love your outfit! As you already know, I'm a big fan of wide leg slacks. (I'm happy to hear that we share the same tastes in music.)

You know what makes you feel best, but I thought this looked great on you. I have my little pet peeves about what looks best on me, too--and sometimes I'm horrified when I look back and see myself in something that didn't look good at ALL.

All these ladies are so lovely. I could take instruction from any one or all of them and learn!

    1. Crystal, thank you for your kind words. High praise, indeed!

Doing an antiques show four days a month brings me in contact with a lot of people. So many women look like they just came off a fashion runway, I want to grab my camera and capture them all!

  2. The colour combination of your outfit is lovely! By the way, I have just made a note of the recipe for the vodka cocktail in the last post - definitely one to try - thank you!
